We would like to provide you with an update on the ongoing Collective Agreement negotiations. The discussions between the parties have continued regarding salary and wage conditions, and we have already addressed key topics such as the average salary component, overtime and night shift allowances for roster employees.
Aligned with the company’s stance, one of the key topics of discussion has been maintaining the current average salary component. Ensuring fair and consistent calculations for overtime and night shift allowances is crucial, as it forms a core principle to prevent inflated figures from leading to wage and salary disparities.
In response to these discussions, the trade union committees have emphasized the importance of reaching a mutual agreement on overtime and night shift allowances, particularly in relation to the average salary component. Following discussions with the unions, the employer has proposed to provide overtime allowances, with 8 hours of an employee’s workday counted as regular hours and any additional hours considered as overtime. The parties have successfully reached an agreement on this. For employees working under non-standard working conditions, 7 hours will be considered regular hours, with any additional hours considered overtime. Additionally, an agreement has been reached to improve the current conditions for night shift allowances.
As discussions progress, the focus will continue on addressing the remaining critical points in the collective agreement proposal. Despite the challenging circumstances the company is navigating, there is a strong commitment to making meaningful improvements in salary and wage conditions, along with strengthening social protections for our employees. These improvements will be carefully considered alongside the company’s long-term sustainable operations.
